Auditions didn't go the way I wanted them to.. but callbacks went pretty well, I must say!

Winter Formal 2010: Beyond the Sea in Eternity
After formal was over, we headed over to Denny's and ate.. and ate.. and Jo ordered his meal in the most awkward way I have ever seen.. Afterward, we drove forever to get to Ron's house, then Jo dropped off Christina, Brenda, and I at Christina's house, where we immediately started getting ready for bed. Put in "Wanted" into Christina's laptop, and she knocked out almost right away.. which left me and Brenda to talk for a little bit before falling asleep ourselves.
5some corsages!

December/January
Christmas
Christmas this year wasn't exactly ideal, what with all my cousins coming over and my procrastination making me sleep late, but nevertheless, the first half of the day was home-y and relaxing. I finally got a new wallet, among other things, but I think I'm more proud of what I gave this year :) I made skirts for Brenda, Angeline, and Sarah, gloves for Andrew, a scarf that Christina saw and liked from Nordstrom, a mini-quilt for my mom, and a teddy bear for my dad. The quilt and the gloves were probably the two gifts that made me the happiest. The difficulty level wasn't that high, but they took a while to make, and I was very pleased with the outcome, as I wasn't sure how it would turn out, as compared to the other items which I had made many times before. Winter break itself was quite fun. I went to San Diego for 3 days. Unfortunately, I got sick the 2nd to last day of school, and I ended up having to finish all of my homework on Sunday :|
Homecoming!
So, Homecoming was absolutely amaaaaazing! Thank you, coaches and captains Celina & Kate! We had a pretty disappointing and frustrating practice the day before, but it all worked out! Good job, girls and boys varsity basketball AND pep squad! Our routines were great and all our st
unts hit! Oh, and I loved our crowns this year (<--). Much more fun to wear than the JV ribbons :) So after school, I left at lunch, as usual, and I was supposed to go back to help Jo ask Angeline to formal, but my mom didn't want to take me back. Sighh I want my license. Ohwell, I ended up taking a nap instead, which was pretty helpful. Then, Brenda came over, and we did our hair and makeup and went to
Whitney. Got there around 4:15, warmed up til 5, and the squad as a whole finished up hair and makeup. Curling Angeline's hair was quite a challenge. I had to re-roll each curl and pin them on her head and let them set for about 20 minutes. Worked out pretty well! But they almost died by the end of Homecoming. For those of you that don't know, Homecoming in January? Hahh Whitney
doesn't have a football team, so our homecoming game is a basketball game. We usually play against OA (Oxford Academy), but this year the big game was against Crean Lutheran School. Oxford's HC is still against us, though. Game next Friday! It should be intense; the cheerleaders are scheduled to go to the game. I'm pretty excited. Well, as I said, both the girls and the boys game went really well for the players and for us cheerleaders, as well. Final score was 54 - 15, I think. I love my stunt group! :o) Heidi, A
ngeline, Sarah, Christina, and me. And our halftime routine for the boys' game was legend. Amazing job, ladies! I'm just still so happy about it :) Cheerleader alumns Brittaney Chen and Ellen Lee ('08 - '09 Captains) and Michelle Park ('07 - '08 Captain) were there, too, plus some of the old mascots. Oh, and good job, Flow, for putting on homecoming, plus the rest of ASB! I can't wait to see what our coaches have planned for next year's (my senior) homecoming. This year was well worth the many practices, soreness, and minor injuries that came with stunting and who knows what else. I can't believe it's finally over. Now, just formal to look forward to :o) (not to mention finals right before :|)

People
Everyone likes to classify people in their own terms, and I'm not any different. I believe that the world can be split up into two kinds of people: those who reach out to help others, and those who want others to reach out to them. I also believe that there is more of the latter kind, which is a shame. I don't want to classify myself into either one, but I fee like I'm surrounded by people who think everything's about them. I'm always the one people tell their problems to, the one people come to when they're angry, when they're sad or disappointed. I carry the weight of not only my own dilemmas, but the problems of those around me. Now that the weight is off of their shoulders, who am I supposed to turn to? Some people would say that they have no one they can trust to whom they can spill out our their worries. Well, I say nothing is ever that easy. Half of it is finding someone you can trust, and the other half, finding someone who's willing to listen. If everyone in the world were willing to listen to each other, then trust would be the only issue, and it would only be a matter of time in finding a confidant(e), but seeing as how most people think everything is about themselves, confidant(e)s seem to be in short supply..

A Saturday Night
Finally went to Tall Mouse to buy some matte sauce and paintbrushes =) Finished up that Christmas ornament to the left; I don't know how well of a job I did, but it's supposed to look like a cookie! I saw it in this quilting magazine, Christmas special, and I just had to make it heh. It's not the best, but considering it was my first real mixed media project I've done at home, I kind of like it! (Chem. HW in the background) Something about it though kind of bothers me. I don't know if it's the beads or the glitters.. or maybe I should've used a different color instead of white, but who knows! I'm planning on making a lot more, so there'll be much room for experiment :)I'm hoping to learn how to free-motion quilt on my sewing machine.. I recently found some pieces that belong to the machine so I'm guessing they're for free-motion? Anyway, my mom and I were hoping I could do that for the quilt we started in the summer. I just finished the front piece on Thursday! I'll post a finished product later when it's all done (probably by winter break). I just keep rambling on here.. Oh, how I've missed blogging :) It's quite fun; I can't believe I went for two months without writing much! Of course, I still follow and read Brenda's and Ms. Agrums's blogs, but I never really took the time to write in my own..
Well, anyway.. just some thoughts I need to get out of my head.. I was looking back on my life.. and I realized that I haven't achieved anything. I set all these goals for myself, and sure, I reached the smaller ones (finish this by a certain time, do that, etc.), but I never attained anything that I could really, truly be proud of.. My test scores certainly were never where I wanted them, I've never done anything big with my crafts, I haven't gotten a lead in a musical.. what then, if I can't achieve anything with the things that I think I'm good or at least pretty decent at, what then am I supposed to/should I do? I claim to call singing a passion.. but where has that got me? I paid for lessons, I practice at home, but for what? I enjoy making crafts, but none are at a level where I can truly sell them for their worth. I say I love math and science, but I've never been good enough to enter competitions or anything. Am I just setting standards too high? Standards I can't reach, but for some crazy reason I think I can? Am I that incompetent? Or is it that I'm not trying hard enough, and if I really did, then all my hard work and effort will really pay off? Or am I just underestimating myself, and dreaming too big? It's all so strange, and it's weird because I usually don't publish stuff like this, so to me, it sounds.. depressing, almost, but it's actually just pensive.. I want my life to have a purpose, I want to look back on my life and proudly say, "Yeah, yeah, I did do that", but what is that exactly? What is that feat that is so great to recall from my past and to look back on it with pride and joy? Have I wasted my youth and energy from the past 16, almost 17, years by not working on that, or is that to come to me in the future? I'm starting to confuse myself.. this is what happens when I try and put my thoughts in words ):
On a less serious note, I'm loving the Christmas atmosphere! I can feel it already,

Just cause I can..
Well, now that school's calmed down a bit, I can actually blog more! :)
Thanksgiving was yesterday, and I know I'm a day late, but I'm thankful for...
1) My parents: They push me to do my best, and they haven't given up on me even after all the times I've screwed up. I hate to disappoint them, and it's their hope in me that drives me to do my best. I love staying at home with them, and I cherish all the things we do, puzzles with my mom, wrestling with my dad, getting excited about Korean dramas, miniature golfing, shopping trips, and much more. I promise to work harder and be a better daughter, and to one day repay you for everything you've done for me. I love you, Mom & Dad!
2) My friends: I've gone a long way since 7th grade.. hanging out with Annice, Dianne, and all them to meeting Angeline due to lack of a pen and being off the roll sheet in P.E... twist of fate, but I'm glad it happened :) And now, 5some (B^2 + SAC)!<3 Thanks for dealing with all my craziness, you guys.. stealing Brenda's food during lunch, demanding updates and stories from Angeline, bugging Sarah about Disneyland and telling her to come back to cheer during Q1 because of ______, random little things I do to Christina that annoy her, listening to me rant, and all that fun stuff. I can't forget about crazy AIM conversations with David either.. half the time I don't even remember what we talk about, but I do remember formal conversations (*ahem* ask her) and reminiscing about kindergarten based not on our own memories but what our moms told us hahahah good timees. I think I also owe Brenda a big apology and thank you, seeing as how she's the one who has to deal with me the most (o: She's usually my outlet when I'm hyper, bored, tired, sick, overly happy, pissed off, annoyed, frantic... you name it. And of course, I have a lot to thank Andrew for.. little things like letting me borrow his jackets and keeping me company, but overall I think he's made one of the biggest impacts on my life. After I met him and started talking to him, he made me want to be a better person, and it's really paid off (especially lately); I'm sleeping earlier (except for these past few nights.. darn naps), I'm finishing work early and not doing homework at school due that day as much, and seeing as how those two were my biggest problems, who knows what else I can do now? :)
Thank you so much, all of you, I love you!<3
3) Cheerleaders: I couldn't live without them. Traumatized when I first joined, not knowing anyone, and watching Eunice, Heidi, and Jessica must have terrorized me hahah. I miss the old days of my first year JV.. Again, Eunice, Heidi, and Jessica.. those 3 were so funny! Kate's "don't forget to shave your legs!" texts before games, pep rallies, and competitions, cheer camp and talking non-stop with Brenda who I barely knew at the time, sleepover before competition, the good old days of flying (-_-), and being intimidated by the seniors of the time (Michelle, Alice, Eunice, Lan, Annie, Ashley). Then second year as captain with SAC + Crislyn and Dana.. JV sleepover! (popcorn and ice cream FAIL), dragging Dana across the gym hallway floor past the "cute" guys in the gym, Flowers drama (can't say I miss that too much), spotting around and tumbling awkwardly with Sarah while the rest of them stunted, Halloween!, I love my girls so much.. The only ones who made me cry with a note at banquet.. who made me cry in general. And now, 3rd year, reunited with Kate and all of them, stunting again (woohoo! love Sarah, Heidi, Angeline, and Christina, stunting group =) ), Celina.. need I say more? Sailors for Halloween (NOT snsd), cheer camp sleepover, and so so so much more. Wow that was pretty much just a list of memories, but cheer has made me open up to people so much more easily. It turned me from a shy, quiet girl to a loud, crazy cheerleader, and now I can make friends more easily. Thank you!

Catch-Up!
First quarter chem finals are over, thank goodness!
Wednesday was cheer pictures!
I went to Sarah's house where Heidi and Christina were already there, and we went crazy getting ready.. last minute makeup and hair touches and looking for camera batteries and chargers, saying we should go but not leaving hahh
I'm also starting an internship! It's the neurology lab internship at Los Amigos Rehabilitation Center in Downey. We research on Alzheimer's disease and work with the brains of those who have had Alzheimer's or any other related diseases.
Haven't been working on too many crafts. I still have yet to finish the quilt my mom and I started in the summer. I just need to add a couple more border strips to the front, assemble the back, pin-baste it, quilt it and add the binding. I stopped by Ms. Agrum's room today with Angeline so she could finish some of her preliminary pieces. I really miss that class. Here's some pictures of some of the stuff I made in the beginning of the school year. I've been too busy to do anything else. The first two are pictures of a backpack I made for my dog, and the third one is some Fimo charms I made.

Btw, I'm so ready for Christmas =) I think I'll get started on all my gifts heh
